It is hard to believe that my book “WE ARE DIFFERENT NOW” was hot off the presses on May 17, 2013, almost one year ago. It became available on Amazon.com on June 2, 2013 and BN.com on July 1, 2013 (my birthday!). To my joy, it sells in many different genres and to people of ages from teens to senior citizens in all walks of life and in every profession – all over the world. That was a truly unexpected, but wonderful surprise and blessing.
The above picture is my grandson, Pete, about whom I wrote WE ARE DIFFERENT NOW. The picture was taken at his last Christmas party in December 2009 – about seven days before his 21st (and last)birthday on December 30th. We didn’t notice what is known as “angel orbs” around his head and shoulders until after he died on July 5, 2010. He was at his grandfather’s annual Christmas party in the photo.
This is Pete at our house on a cold winter’s late afternoon while he was home from college. He died beside the river in the pitch black of night after falling 100 feet to the rock-strewn river bank and canyon floor below at the tender age of 21 years old. Thankfully, he died instantly from a skull fracture. He was the absolute apple of my eye . My book invites you to walk along with me through my journey with death on the mountain. On this path, you can learn the true story of what has been revealed to us since we lost this young man with an angelic face and who was born possessing an old soul.
Review: ” This is a very poignant and insightful book about a journey through the dark valley of grief, intensified by Jackie’s pain for what her own child is enduring. I would recommend this book to everyone, not only for those dealing with grief, but for others who try to help someone else who is grieving. There are so many things NOT to do or say, as Jackie shows us…the main thing being, BE THERE without being intrusive. Thank you, Jackie, for sharing your very personal and painful experience with us.” LINDA REED
Review: ” I am indebted to Jackie Taylor Zortman for sharing her touching, bittersweet, awe inspiring book, “We Are Different Now”. Reading it filled me with wonder and admiration. As a life long skeptic, I finally found myself believing in some form of life after death. With gratitude and appreciation to the author for sharing her heart breaking tragic story of loss and and survival.” DR.
