Write a Book Review

Not many readers take the time to review a book after they have read it, even if they loved it.  However, to those of us who write those books, reviews are very important.  The more good reviews you have, the better your book will sell.  Many people religiously read reviews of all products, including books, before they buy.  In addition, Amazon uses book reviews to determine exactly where and how books fit into their various venues, such as Amazon Prime, Kindle Unlimited or You Also Might Like.

I’ve had one book on the market since June 2013 and a second one since July 2015.  I’ve had 38 collective reviews, so far, and hope to expand that number as more people read the books.  So, if you are an avid book reader, do your authors a huge favor and write a review for them.

I just received another 5-star review of one of my books on October 1st and that book has been out since June 2013.  A reader wrote:  “A more perfect title could not have been picked, WE ARE DIFFERENT NOW, for it truly says what we have become through our loss, pain and grief.  I, too, am a grieving grandmother and reading her book brought me back to those early days, months and years.  How do you help your child through the worst pain imaginable when our own pain is ripping you apart?  She brings Pete’s story to life with her writings.  She caught me up in Pete’s story from the 1st page and I did not put the book down until I was finished.  I wish I had a book like this back at the beginning of my journey.  I highly recommend this book.”

If you click on the links below the book covers, Amazon and Barnes & Noble (for We Are Different Now) will open to their sites.  You can read about the books, read the reviews or write one, if you’ve already read it.  You can also purchase either a trade paperback or Kindle version at Amazon or a paperback at Barnes & Noble.  Amazon lets you read the first few pages of each book.  Remember, when you leave a review, you have a very grateful author at the receiving end.

You are absolutely right, John. I guess they don’t understand how much work goes from sitting down to write to actually holding your book in your hand.
